Lost Flight 815: "The Moth" Trying to kick his drug habit with encouragement from Locke, Charlie starts to go through serious heroin withdrawl, as we learn more about everyone's favorite "Rock God" through the now famous Flashbacks. Meanwhile, Jack is trapped in a cave-in, and as everyone scrambles to save him, Kate, Sayid, and Sawyer attempt to triangulate the position of the distress signal coming from the island. Lost Flight 815: Dr. Jack Shephard is not able to save a survivor drowning in the sea and becomes affected by the incident AND the pressure of his reluctant leadership. Jack has visions of his father on the island and tries to chase him. We learn through Jack's background story about the stressful relationship he had with his difficult and unscrupulous surgeon father, and the reason why Jack ventured to Australia. Meanwhile, the finishing water supply is stolen, and everyone suspects the nasty and selfish Sawyer. But Jack resolves his inner problems with his past and finds a source of water for the survivors.
